Brazil are the only country to have won the World Cup four times and to have appeared in every finals competition, a record that vividly illustrates the country's contribution to football. Brazilian teams are traditionally associated with entertainment and flair, with the emphasis on attacking and adventurous play. Brazil is blessed with a seemingly never-ending supply of hugely gifted players whose skills illuminate one World Cup after another. Last year's World Player of the Year follows in a great tradition of stars such as Didi, Garrincha, Pele, Rivelino, and Zico, and is but one of the talented squad aiming to claim a fifth World Cup crown.
